The WhatAcca.com Premier League GW5 a.k.a Game Week 5 Preview has been completed for our readers and subscribers! Game Week 5 in the Premier League is fast approaching, with the highlight match probably being the London derby taking place between Tottenham and Chelsea at the London Stadium. We’re also looking forward to the clash between West Ham and Manchester United, with the WhatAcca.com team giving their expert views on every game taking place in the EPL. FRIDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER Newcastle United 20:00 Leeds United We don’t really fancy either side to win this game at the latest betting odds. Newcastle have scored six goals in two matches at St James’ Park and should be able to find the net despite the absence of Callum Wilson. Similarly, Leeds found the net in their opening three matches before drawing a blank against Liverpool. Patrick Bamford is set to pose problems for a Magpies defence that has conceded twelve goals already. BEST BET: BTTS Yes SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER Wolverhampton Wanderers 12:30 Brentford Wolves achieved lift-off by winning at Vicarage Road and they’re favourites to overcome Brentford although we think this will be a tight clash. The Wanderers defence has only conceded three goals in four games, while the Bees are operating a similarly tight defence and not scoring a stack of goals. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals Burnley 15:00 Arsenal Arsenal have gone back to basics and got themselves a clean sheet against Norwich. The Gunners are now looking to meet fire with fire against a physical Burnley side who took the lead at Goodison Park before losing 3-1. It’s looking bleak for Sean Dyche’s side already although a low-scoring clash looks the best way to play this one. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals Liverpool 15:00 Crystal Palace Crystal Palace have enjoyed two positive results which has seen the Eagles earn four points. They now head to Anfield to meet a Liverpool side who had a midweek Champions League engagement. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side controlled the game at Elland Road and shut out Leeds. Therefore, we’ll take the Reds to win the game and stop Palace from scoring in this one. BEST BET: Liverpool + BTTS No Manchester City 15:00 Southampton The Manchester City defence often gets overlooked. However, it’s been pretty watertight since Ruben Dias arrived at the club and they have now racked up clean sheets in their previous three Premier League games. Southampton drew a blank against West Ham last weekend and we think they will fall short in this clash. BEST BET: Man City + BTTS No Norwich City 15:00 Watford We’re not particularly sold on Norwich or Watford winning this clash. The Canaries are trading as favourites despite four straight defeats. This is a must-win game for both sides and we’ll go for them to both find the net during the ninety minutes, with Teemu Pukki and Ismaila Sarr both potentially playing starring roles. BEST BET: BTTS Yes Aston Villa 17:30 Everton Another tough game to call at Villa Park between two evenly-matched sides. Perhaps this will be a victory for the Villans considering Dominic Calvert-Lewin is absent. However, that didn’t prevent Everton from recording a 3-1 win over Burnley. Three of the four Toffees’ matches to date have seen both sides find the net. This looks like the best way to play things. BEST BET: BTTS Yes SUNDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER Brighton & Hove Albion 14:00 Leicester City We think Brighton are a big price to beat a Leicester side. The latter will have clashed with Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday night and there’s a feeling that the Foxes aren’t in the best of form at this early point in the season. The Seagulls have won three of their previous four matches and Graham Potter’s side can make home advantage count in this one. BEST BET: Brighton to win West Ham United 14:00 Manchester United We’re not really sold on Manchester United’s short betting odds to win this game despite the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo in the side. The Red Devils were unconvincing away to Young Boys and that followed similar performances at Southampton and Wolves. Although Michail Antonio is missing for West Ham, we still think the London side will claim a point here. BEST BET: Draw Tottenham Hotspur 16:30 Chelsea Tottenham Hotspur’s winning start to the season ended with a 3-0 reverse at Crystal Palace. Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking to have a strong defence for the visit of Chelsea. The Blues are strong favourites and they’re by far the most likely winners, although we think Under 2.5 Goals is a good bet. This covers 1-0 and 2-0 to either side along with the goalless draw and the 1-1 scoreline. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals So there you have it.
