There are plenty of high profile Premier League clashes this weekend, kicking off at the Emirates on Saturday lunchtime. There is also a teatime clash at the Brentford Community Stadium where Tottenham will hope to strengthen their top four hopes. There’s a London derby and a Merseyside derby on Sunday to also enjoy. SATURDAY 23RD APRIL Arsenal 12:30 Manchester United Both of these teams still have top four aspirations. However, Arsenal endured three successive defeats ahead of their clash at Stamford Bridge. Manchester United were handed a massive blow when losing 4-0 at Anfield. Therefore, we’ll swerve the match result market and simply go for BTTS Yes based on the 3-2 that happened at Old Trafford between the same teams. BEST BET: BTTS Yes Leicester City 15:00 Aston Villa Aston Villa have lost four successive matches. It’s not how Steven Gerrard will be looking to end the season and we might see an improved showing after a fourteen day break. Fresher legs might give the Villans an edge over a Leicester team with Roma on their mind, although three or more goals being scored is probably the value bet here. BEST BET: Over 2.5 Goals Manchester City 15:00 Watford Manchester City are ridiculously skinny to win this game against a Watford team doomed for the drop. Therefore, it might be worth throwing a couple of darts at the correct score market. An early goal for the Cityzens could see them fill their boots and we’re happy to punt on a 4-0 and a 5-0 correct scoreline against a team with little hope. BEST BET: Manchester City to win 4-0 or 5-0 Norwich City 15:00 Newcastle United This game is likely to have an end-of-season feel about it and we’ll go for a high-scoring game at Carrow Road. It was noticeable that Norwich cast off the shackles at Old Trafford and might have won the game had it not been for Cristiano Ronaldo. Newcastle are like a team reborn under Eddie Howe and Bruno Guimares could be something very special. BEST BET: Over 2.5 Goals Brentford 17:30 Tottenham Hotspur Tottenham might be betting favourites to claim a victory that will propel them towards next season’s Champions League although some doubt has crept in. The fact that Brighton 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will give Brentford hope and this is a Bees team who have won five of their past six top flight matches at the time of writing. BEST BET: Brentford or Draw SUNDAY 24TH APRIL Brighton & Hove Albion 14:00 Southampton Brighton & Hove Albion FC might have claimed unlikely wins away to Arsenal and Tottenham. Although we can’t feel confident that they will overcome Southampton in this one. The Seagulls have only won three of their home games and the Saints have only won three of their away clashes. Therefore, the draw looks to be the way forward. BEST BET: Draw Burnley 14:00 Wolverhampton Wanderers It’s now or never for the Clarets although an interim coaching team led by Mike Jackson doesn’t inspire confidence. We might expect a typically pragmatic approach and the best hope for Burnley is to claim a 1-0 victory. That may be possible against a Wolves side whose hard work has been achieved already although the defence always stands fairly firm. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals Chelsea 14:00 West Ham United West Ham are struggling for defensive players at the moment and Chelsea should be able to take full advantage. The latter have no European distractions and will want to get the winning habit ahead of an FA Cup final against Liverpool. Conversely, the Hammers will play Eintracht Frankfurt a few days later and could be toothless. BEST BET: Chelsea + BTTS No Liverpool 16:30 Everton Liverpool produced an outstanding performance to beat Manchester United in the week. They are likely to deliver another demolition job on Everton, with Frank Lampard trying to work out how their Merseyside rivals can be nullified. While the Toffees will aim to deliver a spirited performance, their away showings can’t convince us that they’ll get close. BEST BET: Liverpool + BTTS No MONDAY 25TH APRIL Crystal Palace 20:00 Leeds United Palace have only won five of their sixteen games at Selhurst Park. They did enjoy a 3-0 win over Arsenal recently, although Patrick Vieira’s side have played a lot of football recently. As for Leeds, they are well clear of the drop zone and are scoring plenty of goals under Jesse Marsch. Expect the net to bulge at both ends here. BEST BET: BTTS Yes There are some intriguing Premier League fixtures this weekend. We’re expecting lots of goals to be scored across the board. If you are looking to place a top flight acca, then you can wager Over 2.5 Goals or BTTS Yes. Get the best predictions and Premier League football tips before deciding on your bet.
