Manchester City have won the Premier League title in five of the past six seasons. Pep Guardiola’s side were a relentless winning machine during the second half of the previous campaign and they are very much the team to beat, with Erling Haaland set to blaze a scoring trail once again. Harvey Barnes and Sandro Tonali should improve the squad but they might miss out on the Champions League. Newcastle Odds Win the League: 14/1Top 4 Finish: 6/4Relegation: 200/1 #6 Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino might need more than one season to get things right at Chelsea, with a clear-out giving the Argentine a clean slate. Chelsea Odds Win the League: 12/1Top 4 Finish: 5/4Relegation: 200/1 #7 Brighton & Hove Albion Roberto De Zerbi was an upgrade on Graham Potter last season and the Italian can continue to keep Brighton in a top-half position. However, they continue to lose their best players and the departure of Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister could be telling. Brighton Odds Win the League: 50/1Top 4 Finish: 11/2Relegation: 50/1 #8 Tottenham Hotspur We should expect Tottenham Hotspur to entertain under Ange Postecoglu this season although they face a losing battle to retain Harry Kane, even if the arrival of James Maddison should ensure that Son Heung-Min and Richarlison fill their boots. Tottenham Odds Win the League: 40/1Top 4 Finish: 3/1Relegation: 100/1 #9 Aston Villa Unai Emery was a big upgrade on Steven Gerrard last season although the Spaniard hasn’t been given enormous amounts of cash in the transfer market. Expect Emi Buendia and Jacob Ramsey to kick on in the midfield positions for the Villans. Aston Villa Odds Win the League: 150/1Top 4 Finish: 8/1Relegation: 40/1 #10 Crystal Palace Wilfried Zaha might have joined Galatasaray, although Crystal Palace can still land a top-half finish, especially if Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise continue to improve. Roy Hodgson has agreed to one more season in charge of the Eagles and he’s achieved great things. Crystal Palace Odds Win the League: 500/1Top 4 Finish: 50/1Relegation: 13/2 #11 Fulham Marco Silva looks set to stay at Fulham despite interest from Saudi Arabia, with the Portuguese potentially facing a losing battle to keep hold of Aleksandr Mitrovic. However, the Cottagers are capable of another mid-table berth. Fulham Odds Win the League: 1000/1Top 4 Finish: 50/1Relegation: 7/2 #12 West Ham After claiming £105 million from Arsenal for Declan Rice, West Ham are able to bolster their squad, with Conor Gallagher and James Ward-Prowse two likely arrivals. David Moyes’ side shouldn’t be too near the lower places. West Ham Odds Win the League: 250/1Top 4 Finish: 25/1Relegation: 12/1 #13 Nottingham Forest Steve Cooper continues to do a terrific job at the City Ground and the signing of Anthony Elanga is a big boost for a team who should prosper well with Morgan Gibbs-White proving the stand-out player last term. Nottm Forest Odds Win the League: 1000/1Top 4 Finish: 100/1Relegation: 5/2 #14 Everton Sean Dyche doesn’t have a huge budget at Everton although he performed well to steer the Toffees out of trouble last season. We should expect the Merseyside outfit to remain among the Premier League elite, especially if Dominic Calvert-Lewin can stay fit. Everton Odds Win the League: 500/1Top 4 Finish: 50/1Relegation: 3/1 #15 Brentford Thomas Frank has done a tremendous job at Brentford although losing Ivan Toney to a gambling ban puts a big dent in the attacking weaponry. Nathan Collins should prove to be a good capture although we’re still expecting a season of struggle. Brentford Odds Win the League: 400/1Top 4 Finish: 40/1Relegation: 8/1 #16 Burnley Vincent Kompany was a huge success during his first season in charge of Burnley when winning the Championship, with the Lancashire outfit now aiming to consolidate in the Premier League. There is no doubt that Burnley will be savvy enough to secure 40 points this season and avoid relegation. Burnley Odds Win the League: 1500/1Top 4 Finish: 150/1Relegation: 5/2 #17 Luton Town All three promoted teams stayed up last season and perhaps Luton can confound the odds-on quotes about them going down. Rob Edwards is a capable manager who will hope to make Kenilworth Road a fortress of sorts. Luton Odds Win the League: 3000/1Top 4 Finish: 500/1Relegation: 1/3 #18 Bournemouth Some were surprised that Andoni Iraola replaced Gary O’Neil at the Vitality Stadium and the Spaniard has been given funds to strengthen the Cherries squad. However, it was still a risky appointment which could end up backfiring. Bournemouth Odds Win the League: 1500/1Top 4 Finish: 150/1Relegation: 2/1 #19 Sheffield United It would be a surprise if all three promoted teams stayed up for the second season running, with the Blades potentially struggling to stay afloat. Their transfer business has been modest and Paul Heckingbottom could face a losing battle. Sheff Utd Odds Win the League: 2500/1Top 4 Finish: 250/1Relegation: 8/13 #20 Wolves Julen Lopetegui could walk away from Molineux due to a lack of funding and there has been a mass exodus of players, with Matt Doherty one of the few incoming. It could be a season of doom and gloom for Wanderers.
