Premier League Game Week 5 Predictions and Tips There’s little time to catch our breath considering we have the first midweek Premier League fixture programme of the 2022-23 season. There are four games taking place on Tuesday night and a further five the following evening before Leicester go up against Manchester United on Thursday night. Let’s take a look at some predictions. It's always a real treat when we get a high quality set of midweek fixtures. normally it's horse racing that fills the week on a regular basis. Our team does produce winning horse racing tips on a daily basis so we have you covered there as well. TUESDAY 30TH AUGUST Crystal Palace 19:30 Brentford Brentford dominated against Everton but needed a late equaliser to claim a point against the Toffees. Their two away games this season have been a 2-2 draw at Leicester and a 3-2 defeat at Fulham, with the Bees having found the net in all four games. Similarly, Crystal Palace have scored in their past three encounters including fixtures against Liverpool and Manchester City. BEST BET: BTTS Yes Fulham 19:30 Brighton Brighton are defensively stubborn this season and the only goal conceded was of the “own” variety when winning 2-1 at Old Trafford. The Seagulls will be determined to run a tight ship when clashing with a Fulham side who have scored five goals in two home games. The Cottagers will be aware of their opponents’ defensive stubbornness and might amend their game plan accordingly. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals Southampton 19:45 Chelsea Chelsea just about edged past Leicester on Saturday although they were down to ten men for much of the encounter and Thomas Tuchel will hope to keep everyone on the pitch at St Mary’s. Kalidou Koulibaly will return in central defence and we think the visitors can shut down a Southampton side who were unable to find a breakthrough against Manchester United last weekend. BEST BET: Chelsea + BTTS No Leeds United 20:00 Everton There’s little reason to desert a Leeds team who came from behind at Elland Road to beat Wolves 2-1 before overcoming Chelsea 3-0. Rodrigo, Max Aaronson and Jack Harrison have enjoyed a strong start to the season, with Everton having earned a draw at Brentford although they remain unconvincing on the road and Anthony Gordon might have played his last match. BEST BET: Leeds to win WEDNESDAY 31ST AUGUST Arsenal 19:30 Aston Villa Not a great time for Steven Gerrard and his Aston Villa team to be heading to the Emirates. Arsenal boast a 100% record and we think a bloodless win can be achieved against a visiting team unlikely to show much ambition at the Emirates Stadium. It might be a game where the Gunners need to show patience, although this should be a fifth straight win. BEST BET: Arsenal + BTTS No Bournemouth 19:30 Wolves Wolves’ last three Premier League matches have featured Under 2.5 Goals and it’s easy to see the same outcome at the Vitality Stadium. Bruno Lage’s side struggle to find the net but are defensively tight, with Bournemouth looking to tighten up after some recent maulings against some of the better teams in the division. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals Man City 19:30 Nottm Forest Erling Haaland might be rested for this home clash against one of the newly-promoted teams, with the Norwegian having pilfered his first City hat-trick against Crystal Palace. However, the champions have enough squad depth to overcome a Nottingham Forest who drew a blank at Newcastle in their opener and might struggle to carve out chances against a team looking to tighten up. BEST BET: Man City + BTTS No West Ham 19:45 Tottenham David Moyes’ side have been struggling to find the net this season but one was enough to overcome Aston Villa on Sunday. They now clash with Tottenham and we’re expecting no quarter given in this London derby. Antonio Conte’s side have achieved back to back clean sheets, with a goalless draw potentially on the cards at the London Stadium. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals Liverpool 20:00 Newcastle Mohamed Salah will be raring to go after failing to score in his team’s 9-0 win over Bournemouth, with the Egyptian and Luis Diaz likely to cause major problems to a Newcastle defence which has been breached four times in the past two games. However, the form of Allan Saint-Maximin means that we can be confident that the Magpies can score at least one goal. BEST BET: Liverpool + BTTS Yes THURSDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER Leicester 20:00 Man United Erik ten Hag has a settled winning 11 and that is without the addition of new signings Casemiro and Antony. Manchester United should therefore continue the winning habit at the King Power Stadium against a Leicester side rooted to the foot of the table. However, the Foxes have found the net in all four games played. BEST BET: Man United + BTTS Yes The midweek programme of Premier League fixtures means that we have the opportunity to place some acca and bet builders on the action.
