The League Two promotion race remains wide open, although Leyton Orient are still in the box seat to get automatic. Richie Wellens lines up against one of his former clubs and a victory will push them a step closer to League One. Our team of betting experts have come up with six tips for six of league two fixtures. As always if you want more betting tips, we post them daily on our acca tips page. Carlisle United 15:00 Grimsby Town Grimsby were heroic when winning their FA Cup fifth round clash away at Southampton in the week, although the Mariners might now be fatigued after their exertions at St Mary’s. Carlisle will also consider this as a good time to be facing Paul Hurst’s team and the Blues are in form after two victories, with the Cumbrian side now looking to cement their automatic promotion spot. BEST BET: Carlisle to win Harrogate Town 15:00 Gillingham Gillingham are winning their battle to stay in the Football League and they might be able to find the net against a Harrogate side who are also free-scoring, especially at home. We might well see a scoring draw, with neither side having a particularly good win rate. BEST BET: BTTS Yes Leyton Orient 15:00 Swindon Town Leyton Orient are the most likely winners here, although Swindon have shown that they can fire in front of goal right now, with Charlie Austin a strong performer at this level. Richie Wellens will be hoping to get one over his former club and move closer to League One. BEST BET: BTTS Yes Rochdale 15:00 Stevenage Steve Evans was predictably fuming after some refereeing decisions went against his team against Tranmere last weekend and their promotion challenge is now faltering. We can see the team putting up a strong resistance at Spotland, with a low-scoring encounter on the cards considering Dale are largely toothless. BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals Stockport County 15:00 Doncaster Rovers Stockport continue to rise up the table and they can make another victory against a Donny side who are floundering in mid-table. The Hatters are capable of a strong finish under Dave Challinor and we could see them enjoy a comfortable victory against a side who don’t get many wins on the road. BEST BET: Stockport to win Tranmere Rovers 15:00 Hartlepool United Tranmere’s victories tend to be bloodless ones and the solid central defensive partnership of Jordan Turnbull and Tom Davies can stop Hartlepool in their tracks, with goalkeeper Joe Murphy looking like a safe pair of hands. Pools are in decent shape after a comeback draw but might struggle for goals here. BEST BET: Tranmere + BTTS No There are lots of League Two teams aiming to get into the promotion picture and that means we should look for the sides who have the most motivation as we get to this stage of the season.
