Hello! I am back with another bet builder tip this Saturday. I have picked out a 66/1 shot in the early kick off clash between Blackburn and QPR. Bet Builder Build Up It was an eventful midweek for both Blackburn and QPR, where similar situations had very different outcomes. QPR managed to win despite a red card for Dion Sanderson in the first half of their game against Blackpool. A late winner stabbed home from Luke Amos secured Rangers all three points after no wins in their previous five in all competitions. It was the polar opposite for Blackburn, who got themselves a man advantage at Bramall Lane after Charlie Goode’s mistimed lunge resulted in a red card for Sheffield United. Rovers then missed a penalty and conceded the only goal of the game to Blades centre half Ben Davies in stoppage to register a demoralising defeat. Both teams in the Playoffs Both of these clubs are in the play-off positions and with it being an early kick-off on Saturday, a win for QPR would put them into the top two ahead of Bournemouth’s game with Stoke. Blackburn will be looking nervously over their shoulder at the rampaging runs of Sheffield United and Middlesbrough, who are ready to strike if Rovers continue their five game winless streak. We’re not far off the ten games to go marker in the season and these all top six clashes will start getting very tense very quickly. Bens Bet Builder Tip Selections LEG 1 - Under three goals To say neither side is in sparkling goal scoring form going into this one would be an understatement. Blackburn will be without top scorer Ben Brereton-Diaz after he tweaked his ankle ligaments against West Brom and they have only scored one goal in their last seven. QPR have the brilliant creative pair of Willock and Chair but Mark Warburton hasn’t yet managed to configure the right combination with either Austin, Gray or Dykes in the striking role. The Rangers scoring issues aren’t as pronounced as Blackburn’s. Four in their last four does represent a drop from what we’re used to from a Warbuton side. I’d go more aggressive on the number here but it’s not a case of lack of ability in terms of these two sides' lack of goals, more a momentum in time that probably won’t last too much longer. LEG 2 - Draw I’m going to go fairly big on this one and throw in a draw. Despite the high stakes it’s a game neither manager will likely gamble to win if things are tight towards the end and a defeat feels like it would hurt way more than a draw. If it is a tight affair we could get a nil nil given both sides relative inactivity in front of goal, by the same token either side scoring could spark the other into action and we see a 1-1. As I’ve gone for a low scorer I’ll stop with the potential draw permutation. Instead I'll suggest that the chasers for the play-off positions wouldn’t be at all unhappy with that outcome either. LEG 3 - Joe Rothwell to be booked We’re normally on Stefan Johansen when it comes to a player being booked in a QPR game, but Blackburn’s Joe Rothwell has cut a frustrated figure during Rovers poor run. Rothwell has been booked in four of his last five starts for Blackburn and is on eight yellow cards for the season. Perhaps Rothwell, who is a good ball carrier from deep midfield positions, will get some treatment from the likes of Hendrick and Johansen in the midfield battle and go in a little stiff to one or two tackles. This bet builder comes in at a whopping 66/1 so there could be good cash out value, particularly if Rothwell gets himself in the book early on in the game.
