Championship Game Week 21 Predictions We’ve got loads of exciting games taking place this weekend in the Championship. There’s a West Midlands derby at the Ricoh Stadium on Saturday lunchtime. We’re also intrigued to see whether Peterborough can end their awayday curse at the City Ground. The QPR v Stoke game on Sunday could also be intriguing. SATURDAY 4TH DECEMBER Coventry v West Brom Coventry’s home form has been excellent this season. While Mark Robins continues to manage expectations, there is no reason why the Sky Blues can’t challenge for promotion. West Brom however are due a return to form and have the experience to put in a top performance when they need it. They need it now and we think they grind out a much needed win and take the 3 points. BEST BET: West Brom to win Blackpool v Luton Town Neil Critchley learned his trade under Jurgen Klopp and is now successfully transferring his skills at Bloomfield Road. The Tangerines have taken to the Championship like a duck to water. We’re expecting them to get the better of a Luton side who play attractive football. However, there are question marks over the defence. BEST BET: Blackpool to win Bristol City v Derby County Derby have been competitive in the Championship all season and came close to securing a point against QPR on Monday. Wayne Rooney’s side will keep plugging away and they can make their point against an unconvincing Bristol City team. This could be a tight low-scoring affair and there is plenty of juice in the draw price. BEST BET: Draw Nottingham Forest v Peterborough Apparently things have gotten so bad on the road for Peterborough that they have hired a psychologist to improve things away from home. However, we’re not expecting any respite from Posh when they clash with a Nottingham Forest side on the up. Steve Cooper is working his magic at the City Ground and we’re backing a home win here. BEST BET: Nottingham Forest to win Reading v Hull City Reading might have been handed a points deduction recently, although the Royals were able to overcome Swansea last weekend. They have Andy Carroll and Danny Drinkwater providing the experience and are one of the higher-scoring teams in the Championship. However, Hull are also in good form at the moment and we’re expecting the goals to flow. BEST BET: Over 2.5 Goals SUNDAY 5TH DECEMBER QPR v Stoke City QPR enjoyed a 2-1 victory at Derby on Monday and we’re expecting Rangers to find the net against the Potters. However, Stoke also have plenty of firepower, so we’re expecting them to challenge hard for the three points here. These teams could end up meeting in the play-offs and we’re expecting a high-scoring clash at Loftus Road. Both teams scoring looks to be the bet of the game. BEST BET: BTTS Yes The Championship is truly a division where anyone can beat anyone. While Fulham and Bournemouth have kicked clear at the top, the fact that Derby beat the Cherries and landed a point against the Cottagers illustrates this point. Let’s have a look through the coupon and work out the best accumulator tips for the English second flight.
